VISA ATTENTION WARNING

This entente visa is no longer issued. The countries that were involved no longer accept it. You have to obtain each visa individually.

The Benin consulate in Madrid issues at present the touristic visa "ENTENTE", which allows tourists to travel freely within Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Niger and Togo. The last time we got the visa ENTENTE in 2014 in Spain, it could only be obtained in the Benin Consulate of Barcelona.

The process to obtain the visa entente is easy, the period of validity of the visa is 60 days and its price is 120€. Since it indicates "plusieurs" (multiple) in the number of entries, we had no problem in entering with this visa, more than once, into any of these countries. It is supposed also that you cannot leave of the zone ENTENTE, but we did it, and again we had no problem to re-enter Ivory Coast after Ghana.

Some public officials in the border were surprised when seeing this visa; it happened entering Niger via Niamey airport, but after consulting some superiors there was no complain.

It is very good news that at present this visa is issued since it facilitates so much displacements in the region. We know that Togo embassy in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) is also processing this visa.

Its price is 120€

We were informed that at the Benin consulate in Madrid you can also apply using the online form, for any nationality citizens, which is excellent news since it facilitates and reduces the number of visas to be obtained for our travelers.
