Who Are Our Africa Tours For?

The way we travel to Africa by truck means that these trips aren’t for everyone.

We welcome adventure-seekers of any nationality, but good physical health and a go-with-the-flow attitude are required.

Anyone traveling with us will have to be willing to do without certain comforts at times, camp for days on end, stay in very basic local hotels, endure grueling drives on roads in terrible condition or impassable trails, put up with heat and dust, and go without a shower every now and then…

The trips to Africa that we offer pass through some countries where infrastructure is very limited or in very poor condition. It is common to encounter broken bridges or roads that are blocked for days at a time. You will need to be flexible in the face of any changes to plans that may arise along the way.

If you’re open-minded, tolerant, and respectful of the environment—both natural and social—through which you travel, and if you treat your fellow travelers with respect, don’t lose your patience at the slightest hiccup, don’t waste water, energy, or resources, take good care of your travel gear, don’t feel the need to pack your entire home into a suitcase, can go without your cell phone and internet connection for a few days, if you leave your stress behind at the airport, don’t complain about the lack of electricity or running water, and don’t need a thousand supermarket products, if you can appreciate that a simple meal in a magical setting is worth a thousand times more than a meal at a five-star hotel, you’ll share our vision of an adventure trip and will undoubtedly have an extraordinary experience, returning home with plenty of unforgettable memories from your trip through West Africa.
